The Sculpture Garden is the most recent addition to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Completed in 1999, the park of the huge museum features around 20 sculptures by internationally renowned artists such as Alexander Calder, Sol LeWitt, Roxy Paine and Robert Indiana. The collection is centered on a fountain which, from December to March, is converted into an ice-skating rink.
