Milwaukee (WI)

Milwaukee is located on Lake Michigan and is Wisconsin’s largest city with a population of around 580,000. The large breweries Pabst, Schlitz, Stroh and Miller, founded by German immigrants, made the city the American beer capital. The city is home to the headquarters of Harley-Davidson, founded around 120 years ago; for true fans there is the Harley-Davidson Museum. The River Walk runs through downtown and is used for recreation all year round.

Milwaukee

The historic Third Ward District is a typical entertainment district with cafés, restaurants, small shops, museums and theaters. Sculpture Milwaukee, an outdoor exhibition held annually with changing exhibits, is a real highlight. Some 20 sculptures by well-known artists decorate downtown and Wisconsin Avenue, which leads directly to the spectacular Art Museum.
