Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone cannot be pigeonholed as an artist. Up to now, we have seen his series of large-format heads, “sunrise.east” and “moonrise.east”, on three continents. Also famous are his towers made of brightly colored boulders stacked on top of each other, which can be found in four different places so far: The “Miami Mountain” in Miami Beach, the “Liverpool Mountain” next to Tate Liverpool, the “Medellín Mountain” in Colombia and finally the mighty “Seven Magic Mountains” in the middle of the Nevada desert, just 22 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.
