Tacoma, third-largest city in the state of Washington, shares Sea-Tac International Airport with Seattle. The city is also home of the Narrows Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. The Museum of Glass is dedicated to the glass art of the 20th and 21st centuries and is known far beyond the city limits.
The Chihuly Bridge of Glass, designed by famous glass artist Dale Chihuly, connects the museum with downtown. The nearby Union Station, now used as a courthouse, presents many glass objects by Chihuly. Downtown Tacoma is so interesting that we returned for a second visit years later.
