Austin is the capital and fourth largest city of Texas. The most important sights are located on the northern Congress Avenue which leads directly to the state capitol. South of the Colorado River the city gets colorful and weird; small shops alternate with artworks and interesting murals. A very special spectacle is offered to the visitors between March and October, when about one million bats leave their home at Congress Avenue Bridge, right in the middle of the city, at sunset.
