When we first came to Seattle in 2009, we didn’t really know any sights other than the famous Space Needle. It was the first big city on our tour – loud, hectic, exhausting. Could you really love this city?

At the same time Seattle had something really fascinating for us – we felt the spirit of modernism, future and optimism. We couldn’t explain it, but we knew even then that we would return.

Eight years later, Seattle became the first city in the US we visited a second time. We stayed four days and saw the well-known places like Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park and of course the sights around Space Needle, the city’s landmark. But we also became familiar with the lesser-known corners, such as Bruce Lee’s grave, Gas Works Park or the districts of Capitol Hill and Fremont with their large and small attractions.
