The Yellowstone National Park in Wyomingwas founded on March 1, 1872 and is the oldest national park in the world. You can watch pelicans, wapitis, marmots, moose and many other animals. Buffalos are omnipresent, sometimes they even walk on the highway. And, of course, there are those hot springs, actually bubbling everywhere in the park, sometimes loamy grey, sometimes sulphur yellow, sometimes snow white. If the water inside the earth gets too hot, it sprays out of the ground as the probably most famous geyser Old Faithful does. With a height of 55 meters and a volume of many thousands of gallons of water once an hour, Old Faithful is the absolute tourist attraction in the park.
