Halifax is by far the largest city in the Atlantic provinces. Heart of the city is the citadel with the Clock Tower, visible from nearly everywhere. The modern harbor promenade invites you to stroll, and there are also some interesting buildings in downtown. On Fairview Lawn Cemetery 121 people of the Titanic disaster of 1912 are buried. The best view of the city is from the World Peace Pavilion in Dartmouth on the opposite side of the waterway. The Pavilion contains stones from more than 70 countries, including two pieces of the Berlin Wall.
