Fort Worth, the fifth largest city in Texas, used to be an important hub for the cattle economy. On Sundance Square, a mural commemorates the Chisholm Trail, a historic cowboy route. Huge herds of longhorn cattle were driven from here to the railway loading stations of Abilene in Kansas. At the historic Stockyards, a cattle drive is performed for tourists every afternoon – an entertaining spectacle that should not be missed. For the ladies, last but not least, we recommend the National Cowgirl Museum.
