Kansas City (MO/KS)

With a population of around 508,000, Kansas City (KCMO) is the largest city in the state of Missouri. The Santa Fe Trail, the Oregon Trail and the California Trail once started here – the most important routes in the settlement of the American West. The city on the Missouri River comes up with a lot of public art and original buildings.

On the other bank of the river – in the state of Kansas – KCKS is considerably smaller and less attractive. An exception is the small Kaw Point at the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas River.
