Colorado Springs (CO)

Colorado Springs, second largest city in the state of Colorado, is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. A trip up to Pikes Peak (14,110 feet) – either by car on a dangerous serpentine road or with the world’s highest cog railway – is an adventure in any case. Highlight of the city is the “Garden of the Gods“. The steep rock formations of red sandstone attract around four million tourists every year.

In the historic district of Old Colorado City, the era of the great gold rush is still present.
