The Citygarden Sculpture Park in St. Louis is a public sculpture and landscape park located in the heart of downtown, quite unique in its form. The park is completely open and combines a mix of sculptures, fountains, benches, a splash pad for children, and carefully selected plants.

The garden’s plant palette focuses on native Missouri species. Among the 235 trees, there are more than 5,000 shrubs and perennials, 8,000 bulbous plants, and 13,000 ground covers. The plants have been arranged to capture as much rainwater as possible.
The park currently features 29 sculptures by world-renowned artists, including Keith Haring, Mark di Suvero, George Rickey, and Erwin Wurm. There are no barriers or “Do not touch” signs, as Citygarden invites citizens and tourists alike to view, touch, or simply linger among the works of art. Unthinkable in Germany – and quite unique in the USA!
