Landmark of the garden and of the entire city of Minneapolis is “Spoonbridge and Cherry” by Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen, a giant bridge-like spoon sculpture with a cherry on top, providing the ideal photo spot for city marketing and tourists. Works by world-famous artists such as Henry Moore and Tony Cragg can be found, as well as Robert Indiana’s LOVE sculpture, Barry Flanagan’s hare, and Alexander Calder’s mobile. Germany is represented with artworks by Thomas Schütte and Judith Hopf; a second landmark of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is the almost five-meter-tall blue rooster by German artist Katharina Fritsch, sitting atop a snow-white pedestal.
