Calgary (AB)

Calgary is located right east of the Rocky Mountains and is the largest city between the metropolitan areas on the west coast (Vancouver) and the east (Toronto, Montréal). The city is the center of the Canadian petroleum industry, but also of country music and is therefore often called the “Nashville of the North”. The economic power is very high; next to Toronto, the city is home to most of Canada’s corporate headquarters.

Calgary

The Calgary Stampede, the largest rodeo show and, with around 1.5 million visitors, the largest open-air exhibition in the world, puts the city in a state of emergency every year and has been doing so for more than 100 years. At Stampede time, it is all about roping and bull riding, rodeo shows, proud cowboys and fancy cowgirls. You should allow at least two days for a visit in this incredible city.
